Begin your CASA volunteer journey!

A promotional flyer for CASA, showing three photos of people at events, a large conference room filled with attendees, and volunteers holding a welcome sign. The flyer encourages joining CASA as a volunteer to help children in the community and includes the CASA logo and slogans.

The Cases

We recommend all volunteers start with one case at a time. With some experience, CASA volunteers may carry two cases. Cases can involve a single youth or a sibling group, and can take between 5 to 10 hours of your time each month.

The Commitment

Cases can last 6 months to 2 years. Many volunteer responsibilities can be scheduled at your convenience, like home visits and report writing.

While court hearings are always during business hours, as a friend of the court, CASA volunteers have a say in court dates.

Two women are sitting on a gray couch by a window, engaging in a friendly conversation. One woman has curly hair and is wearing a lavender shirt, the other has straight hair and is dressed in a peach-colored top. There are notebooks, a laptop, and a red backpack on the coffee table in front of them.

The Program

All volunteers are supported by a dedicated staff person. The Tuscarawas and Harrison County CASA team hosts multiple gatherings and other opportunities for our network to connect. We pride ourselves on our team work!
